“I am a wife and mother of two boys Hurley and Madox who are 4 & 3 years old and we live on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland! I picked up my first paint brush in 2016 where I was inspired by some art I came across on the Instagram Discovery page. I was in Tasmania house sitting for my parents at the time, and there were no local art stores. The closest was Spotlight – over an hour away from where I was staying. So I put my two boys in the car and we went for a casual drive to Spotlight where I bought some acrylic paint, paint brushes and some massive pieces of cardboard paper to experiment on.
As soon as I returned home I got straight into my new art supplies. I had no idea what I was even doing…but I loved it and I was hooked! I actually sold my very first experimental piece! Once I got back home to Queensland my husband surprised me with my very own little studio room to paint in, which was super cute!
After doing acrylic on canvas for a few months, I started watching You Tube editorials on how to make resin art – and I was again hooked! I have self taught myself all the way, and now I teach others how to do resin art in my studio and I absolutely love it. It’s so addictive and I love seeing others fall in love with it also!”
